One of my favorite memories from childhood is paging through Richard Scarry's Little Golden Books. I spent hours in Busy Town with Sody-Pop trucks, Mr. Frumble's Pickle Car, and tracking down Golden Bug whenever I could. My brain soaked in that imagery like a sponge.
Take a gander at my logo; notice anyone familiar? Lowly the Worm has long been a favorite, driving around in his apple car. Childhood imagery such as this has been a great source of inspiration, however Lowly hadn't surfaced in my work as my personal logo until fifteen years later. Eventually, every implanted memory in my sponge brain will surface, but I anticipate holding onto Little Golden books for life.
