I’m drawn to the raw, tactile process of shooting 35mm film—where the grit of the medium meets the thrill of waiting (months) for developed negatives. Each frame is a purposeful act, a pause to connect with the world through glass and metal, and a powerful reminder to keep my head up to ensure that I don’t miss the perfect snap.
In a culture driven by instant gratification, film photography becomes an act of rebellion—a chance to slow down and embrace imperfection. The contrast between careful exposure adjustment, patience in framing, and the joy of mistakes found in a print with too much grain, a sun flare, or unexpected coloring is where I find joy in this medium.
To me, an ideal afternoon is one spent chasing light, lost in thought, with my Nikon FM in hand.
