CONNECTING
THROUGH FILM
Visiting a photo album feels like time travel. These images, some from as far back and my dad’s childhood, and others from my current life in New York City, live side by side; blurring the lines between generations. Shooting film reminds me that these moments don’t have timestamps… they simply exist, layered, imperfect, and ever-changing, and I’m lucky enough to collect them on glossy paper.
There’s a quiet magic in waiting for negatives, anywhere from 10 minutes for a Polaroid print to solidify to months, sometimes years, for 35mm to get developed. I love film photos because of the unpredictability of each shot… which really represents life if you think about it.
Stay tuned…my film photography account will be relaunching very soon. For now, view my Instagram and the patchwork curation of my family’s life below.
