Third Thursday at MIA (recap)
My how time flies when you're having fun! It's been nearly four months since the MIA Third Thursday celebration from September where I presented posters, Sumi Ink drawings and Exquisite Corpse digital renderings.
I wanted to thank everyone who participated in this event and show off the final product of this work you helped me create.
The collaborative Sumi Ink piece (above) using a large scale canvas and traditional Japanese ink painted with bamboo brushes. Over 30 participants helped create the work.
Exquisite Corpse Drawings (to the left and below) are started from the top down where each artist creates pieces of the whole without seeing the unfinished work. These drawings stretch our creative muscles and challenge us to think abstractly. For this exercise, I used an Intuos Tablet to provide a much larger canvas. Click to see the whole piece, or scroll to see details.
Thanks again everyone who participated in this event, I look forward to seeing you all at the next MIA Third Thursday this December.
